My friend Drew Gaylor was recently talking about the insanity creeping into the American system. According to my history theory, each dominant region will have a point of perfect sanity and a point of perfect insanity in time. For America the point of perfect sanity was 1937. America was the primary developmental region in the world during the Industrial age (1825-1937), and was the dominant region during the Holocaust age (1937-1993). America is based very strongly therefore on material things, thus engedering the phrase 'The Almightly Dollar'. As the history and the world move away from material things in an epoch devoted to separate development toward an epoch that is devoted to coordinated development, the basic traits that made America great become increasingly out of date. Although some of those traits provide the foundation for the world's continued development phases and so they are not all out of date. America will reach its point of perfect insanity in 2042 assuming history continues to advance. Later if it does not.

I have been digging around on the web looking for people doing something like I am doing.
I found about 25 mentions of things similar. These allowed me to develop a super question

1. Choose a book or magazine – it can be any book or magazine – and tell the participants how many pages it has.


2. Ask participants to choose a number within the range of page numbers in the book.


3. On the flipchart, for each page that is chosen, write down the first noun that appears, for example, head, town, wall, face, arm, jar, supermarket, building, tube, plastic, zebra.


4. When you have enough words, choose one and carry out a word-association exercise (modelling it yourself) to show participants how to use the randomly- generated list of words to generate themes, for example:

5. Point out that not all of the ideas generated lead anywhere, but it is important to explore and record them all. Pupils may want to carry out the activity with a number of the words to increase their ‘bank’ of themes.
